Author Description:
Caroline Bell Foster was born in Derby, England and with her family went on a six week holiday to Jamaica. She stayed for 18 years!

Ever the adventurer Caroline bought her first pair of high heels in Toronto and traded her pink sunglasses for a bus ride in the Rift Valley at 18. She wrote her first short story on that bus and had it published the following year in a local newspaper.

Caroline has always written in one form or another from a very young age. She started her first diary at age 7 and short stories and articles kept her occupied throughout her teens. Feeling the restrictions of short stories for newspapers, Caroline switched to full length novels letting her creativity flow.

Caroline is also known as 'The Caribbean's Leading Lady of Love' as her novels Ladies' Jamaican, Caribbean Whisper's, Saffron's Choice tend to reflect her love for the Islands. Her lastest novel, Convincing Kyle, is how available for pre-order.

The author now lives in Nottingham, England with her husband and two children.

Interview Excerpt

Next: I’ve never been so busy, as for the very first time I’m writing two novels at the same time. To say it’s a bit full on, is an understatement, but I’m enjoying the process. Country Boy is actually the working title, who knows I may just keep it though as it is so fitting.

Social media: I’m actually more active on Facebook. With Twitter, I make good use of 'writerly' hashtags and for each title I publish, I research hashtags and join conversations. It’s quite unique, developing a 140 character at a time conversation!

Personal appearances: I’ve just finished a batch of signings and speaking events, and I do try to keep those as local as possible nowadays. However, I do a lot of radio interviews which is great. I can be in my living room and speaking to someone in Australia.

Short stories: I like the challenge, and find myself having to rein my characters in as I’m a 90,000 word kind of writer. But I do enjoy writing them and yes, it opens a whole new audience for me

Bundles: It was a steep learning curve for me, as I’m what is called a Hybrid author (Traditionally and Independently published) I’d never been in a boxed set or worked alongside other authors so closely before. But it was so much fun, each of us taking on a role. I did a lot of the social media and of course the European radio promo’s.

I’ve been a member of The Romantic Novelists’ Association for almost ten years. It is such a supportive group and I certainly couldn’t continue doing what I do, without their encouragement.

Reader list: I do. It’s about developing relationships with those people who have taken the time to engage with you. I’ve practically reached my limit on one Facebook page and have a following on another.

Review Team: Reviews are important, and I think England is a little behind America, when it comes to reviewing everything. I have a sign-up page on my website offering free reads and peeks into current projects. The questionnaire is quite extensive, but you have to be a dedicated readers. It works well.

Interview Excerpt

Just Released: HIS SACRED VOW was released just today May 13.

Social media is every writer’s dream come true, for without such a platform for marketing, Indie authors would be in deep trouble getting noticed. More importantly, I’ve had the pleasure of ‘meeting’ other fine authors via the Internet and in person, who’ve become cherished friends.

Advent of ebooks changed anything: Oh, definitely, James, except the writing must remain consistent. An author doesn’t get many chances to prove herself again after putting out a clunker! Because our vendors provide speed and clear copy for our eBooks, our wonderful readers don’t have to wait years for the next book in a series to launch.

Great covers: I’ve had the fabulous fortune to have most of my covers designed by talented graphic artist Angel Nichols, who primarily does all the covers for AA Publishing, LLC, and the publisher of my many short stories. This time out, I hired graphic designer, the brilliant Lynn Lamb to design the cover and additional banners for HIS SACRED VOW. The covers are always chosen with my readers in mind, but must be pleasing to my eye as well.

Short stories: My muse loves the challenge of presenting an entire story in novella/short story form, with no loose ends, and that’s satisfying to my readers. I’m always hoping the shorts, which generally capture the antics of my Cindy and Jay characters featured in my novels, will inspire the readers to grab my longer length books.

Author bundles: Being asked to participate in an anthology or boxed set is always a thrill for me. The invitations not only are a boost to my sometimes-fragile author ego, but also offer a challenge to write a story specifically for that particular anthology or boxed set. I sure hope the sets drive readers to my catalogue, and do notice an increase in sales whenever a set is released.

Reader list: I’ve been relying on social media to reach my genre’s readership for years and have a mental list of readers tucked deep in my mind – I’m weird like that.

Great blog: My blog is updated when I get the urge to share something interesting that others may find either entertaining or informative. Regretfully, I don’t update my website as often as I should because I’d rather be focusing on my writing. I suspect this will change once my newsletter is up and running.

Author Description:
Author Gary Ponzo began his writing career over a decade ago by writing short stories. He quickly discovered a knack for the short form. In just five years he'd published seven short stories in various publications, two of which were nominated for the very prestigious Pushcart Prize.

His first novel, "A Touch of Deceit," took five years to write and one to pick clean. The story was born from his childhood experiences working in his father's candy store in Brooklyn, NY. His father was Sicilian and became friendly with some local members of a different kind of Sicilian family. Since Gary was just fifteen at the time, these family members would make sure he was protected whenever he would work late at night by himself. He soon discovered a side to the mafia not many people knew. It was these relationships which caused him to write about Sicilian FBI agent, Nick Bracco, who recruits his mafia cousin to chase down the world's most feared terrorist.

"A Touch of Deceit," went on to win the 2009 Southwest Writers Novel Contest, Thriller category. He is currently working on the 5th book in the Nick Bracco series as well as trying to create world peace in his spare time. Gary currently lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife Jennifer and two children, Jessica and Kyle.

Don’t Make A Wish.

Written by International Best Selling Author Lizzy Stevens her husband Steve Miller and their two boys Jason Miller and Noah Miller.

Tara’s day goes from bad to worse when she finds a lamp while cleaning out her grandma’s attic after she died. She found an old lamp with a note attached. ““Whoever finds this lamp, Take my advice. Do not rub the lamp. Do not make a wish. Put it back where you found it and run away.” Tara thought her grandma was just making a joke until she accidently rubbed the lamp and the genie popped out.

Mark, the Genie of the lamp, was not very happy to be a genie any longer. He wanted out of his life. So what he did to show that he wasn’t happy was that no matter what the person wished for he would twists and turn the words of the wish and make it a little more fun for him and not so much fun for the person who made the wish.

After two wishes went in the wrong direction, Tara wished to be left alone which in turn, Mark sent her to a deserted Island. He thought he was being his usual funny self until his punishment was to be sent there with her, but he was sent without his powers.

How will this all work out for Mark and Tara? How will they get off the island without his powers?

Author Description:
D.F. Bailey is a W.H. Smith First Novel Award and a Whistler Independent Book Award finalist.

In 2015 D.F. Bailey published The Finch Trilogy — Bone Maker, Stone Eater, and Lone Hunter — three novels narrated from the point-of-view of a crime reporter in San Francisco. He is now extending the trilogy in a series of stand-alone books.

His first novel, Fire Eyes, was optioned for film. His second novel, Healing the Dead, was translated into German as Todliche Ahnungen. The Good Lie, another psychological thriller, was recorded as an audio book. A fourth novel, Exit from America, made its debut as an e-book in 2013.

Following his birth in Montreal, D.F. Bailey's family moved around North America from rural Ontario to New York City to McComb, Mississippi to Cape May, New Jersey. He finally "landed on his feet" on Vancouver Island — where he lives next to the Salish Sea in the city of Victoria.

For twenty-two years D.F. Bailey worked at the University of Victoria where he taught creative writing and journalism and coordinated the Professional Writing Cooperative Education Program — which he co-founded. From time to time he also freelanced as a business writer and journalist. In the fall of 2010 he left the university so that he could turn "his pre-occupation with writing into a full-blown obsession."

Title: The Cleaner

Author: Mark Dawson

John Milton considers himself an artisan. A master of killing. Milton is the man the British government calls on to eliminate the worst of the worst: the enemies of the state that MI5 and even the military can't stop.

Sharon Warriner is a single mother in the East End of London, suicidal with fear that she's lost her young son to a life in the gangs. After Milton saves her life, he promises to help. But the gang, and the charismatic rapper who leads it, is not about to cooperate with him.

As London burns through summer riots, Milton finds himself in unfamiliar territory, dealing with an unfamiliar foe. And when his employer sends another agent after him, the odds against him are stacked even higher.

The Beatrix Rose series features the headlong fight for justice of a wronged mother—who happens to be an assassin—against the six names on her Kill List. Title: The DCI Jones Casebook: Sean Freeman

Author: Kerry J Donovan

Veteran cop, DCI David Jones, is tough and uncompromising. His Serious Crime Unit has the best arrest record the Midlands Police Service has ever seen. Jones and his dedicated team work hard to keep it that way.

Locksmith turned jewel thief, Sean Freeman, is the best in the UK. He's never been caught—the police have never even come close. When Freeman's vicious gangland boss, DB Parrish, forces him to break into the Stafford Museum, the UK’s most secure premises outside of the Bank of England, he's in trouble. The Stafford Museum is in the middle of Jones' jurisdiction.

Someone's record is going to suffer.

In this opening instalment of the DCI Jones Casebook series, veteran detective, David Jones tackles a series of cases and faces a clever and engaging criminal he respects and would probably like—under different circumstances. But Jones has a job to do and Freeman is going down. .

When I'm not writing, I’m busy blogging over at www.molly-greene.com about books, author issues, what I've learned during the publishing process, plus a bit about my life. Stop by and say hello ... and while you’re there, join my Reader's Club for exclusive access to pre-published content (like Gen Delacourt companion short stories!), freebies, giveaways, and news about upcoming releases.

The Gen Delacourt Mystery Series is "soft" crime, cozy without the cute, meaning no foul language, graphic blood, sex, serial killers or child predators, just (mostly!) serious, (always!) well-written stories that, to quote a reader, “are peopled by smart women who are figuring out things for themselves, who have personal issues that don’t center on whether they’re overweight or pretty. The main characters are fleshed out, with real-people problems.”

Title: 3 Lies

Author: Helen Hanson

At CIA headquarters, a young officer discovers that terrorists may have commandeered their computer systems to launch an unauthorized mission. Elsewhere, conspirators abduct nine people to manipulate the rules of their game. Two disparate ambitions — Clint Masters becomes the reluctant link in the chain of danger.

Ever since Clint’s almost ex-wife dumped him, he bobs along the Massachusetts coast in a sailboat with his black lab for company. He avoids all forms of technology, a counterintuitive effort for the burned-out founder of CatSat Laboratories. Tired of clutching the brass ring, he needed to untether, step off the corporate treadmill, and smell a flower. Fortunately, he met one, a beautiful, unspoiled woman who doesn’t treat him like a commodity. His relationship with Beth offers more promise than his marriage ever did, even if she is on dialysis for her recovering kidneys, until she disappears.

In spite of the evidence, Beth's family refuses to admit she’s in danger. Without routine dialysis, she won’t survive. As Clint realizes that he loves Beth, damn-near ex-wife Paige sashays back into his life with disturbing news.

While the CIA young gun tracks his quarry, Clint enlists the help of two men to find Beth, a blithe Brit named Merlin, and Todd, his playboy partner-in-tech. But Clint must find Beth before her kidneys fail. And before someone unloads a bullet in his head.

Bestselling author Helen Hanson writes page-blistering thrillers about desperate people with a techno bent. For source material, she ran a software company, built video games, and opened many a door for her dogs. For fun, Helen flew a Mooney over the Golden Gate Bridge, traveled 100+ mph over Highway 17 to the coast, and annihilated an entire Cub Scout pack in laser tag. There were no prisoners to take. She admits that your ink pens are not safe near her and that she can mimic the sound of most farm animals.

Title: Havana Lost

Author: Libby Fischer Hellmann

On the eve of the Cuban Revolution, headstrong 18-year-old Francesca Pacelli flees from her ruthless Mafia-boss father in Havana to the arms of her lover, a rebel fighting with Fidel Castro. Her father, desperate to send her to safety in the US, resorts to torture and blackmail as he searches the island for her.

So begins the first part of a spellbinding saga that spans three generations of the same family. Decades later, the family is lured back to Cuba by the promise of untold riches. But pursuing those riches brings danger as well as opportunity, and ultimately, Francesca’s family must confront the lethal consequences of their choices. From the troubled streets of Havana to the mean streets of Chicago, HAVANA LOST reveals the true cost of chasing power instead of love.

Author Description:
Libby Fischer Hellmann is a critically acclaimed crime writer loved by readers the world over for her compulsively readable thrillers and strong female characters. Her fast-paced crime fiction spans 14 novels and over 20 short stories. She has also edited a popular crime fiction anthology called Chicago Blues. Her newest work, "War, Spies, and Bobby Sox: Stories About World War Two At Home" was released in March, 2017, and promptly won the IPPY Silver Medal in the war/military category.

With critics describing her work as "masterful" and "meticulously researched", it's not hard to see why Libby's thrilling and richly varied crime novels have won numerous awards. Libby is exceptionally committed to her work, and in 2005-2006 she was the National President of Sisters in Crime, a 3,400+ member organization dedicated to strengthening the voice of female mystery writers.

Libby started out in broadcast news, beginning her career as an assistant film editor for NBC News in New York before moving back to DC to work with Robin MacNeil and Jim Lehrer at N-PACT, the public affairs production arm of PBS. Retrained as an assistant director when Watergate broke, Libby helped produce PBS's night-time broadcast of the hearings. She went on to work for public relations firm Burson-Marsteller in Chicago in 1978, where she stayed until she left to found Fischer Hellmann Communications in 1985.

Originally from Washington, D.C.--where, she says, "When you're sitting around the dinner table gossiping about the neighbors, you're talking politics"-- Libby earned a Masters Degree in Film Production from New York University and a BA in History from the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to writing, Libby writes and produces videos, and conducts speaker training programs in platform speaking, presentation skills, media training and crisis communications.

Libby's best-selling novels have won widespread acclaim, with her first novel, An Eye for Murder, nominated for several awards and described by Publisher's Weekly as "a masterful blend of politics, history, and suspense."

An Eye for Murder introduced Ellie Foreman, a video producer and single mother who went on to star in five more novels in a series described by Libby as "a cross between Desperate Housewives and 24." Libby's second series followed the Chicago PI Georgia Davis, a no-nonsense detective who has been featured in four books so far. In addition to her hugely popular series, Libby has also written four standalone thrillers in diverse settings and historical periods Through her "Revolution Trilogy," (Set the Night on Fire, A Bitter Veil, and Havana Lost) we meet young activists during the late Sixties, a young American woman who marries and moves to Tehran, and a female Mafia boss who chases power at the expense of love.

Mark McKay did a number of things before becoming a novelist – van driver, wine salesman, psychiatric orderly, Santa Claus at a major department store… He also spent many years working in the IT industry. After studying creative writing with the University of East Anglia in the UK, he wrote his first novel. Once bitten by the writing bug (for which there’s no cure), more novels followed.

When he isn’t writing, Mark is either reading, struggling to master the guitar, learning aikido (useful research), trying to find time to get out more, and looking for new and unusual experiences that might one day find their way into a book. His goal as a writer is to produce another 50 novels by the age of 100. His goal as a guitar player is to get beyond three chords. He’s pretty sure he can do it (the guitar bit, at least).

Author Description:
Ian Sutherland was brought up in the Outer Hebrides, idyllic remote islands off the west coast of Scotland. In an effort to escape the monotonous miles of heather, bracken and wild sheep, Ian read avidly, dreaming of one day arriving in a big city like London. And then, at the tender age of 12 he was unexpectedly uprooted to Peckham, an inner city suburb of South-East London. Ian quickly discovered that the real London was a damn sight more gritty and violent than the version in his books and shown on tv. Undeterred, Ian did what he did best, and buried his head in books, dreaming of other places to escape to.

Roll forward some years, and Ian can still be found with his head in a book. Or, given that he enjoyed a successful career in the IT industry, an eBook Reader. And now, having travelled a fair bit of the globe in person and even more of it via the Internet, Ian lives with his wife and two daughters in a small idyllic village, surrounded by green fields, copses and the occasional sheep, yet located just outside of the London he finally came to love.

Here, he writes gritty, violent crime thrillers full of well-rounded characters, set in and around London and its suburbs. His stories also feature the online world that most of us jump into blindly each day, but Ian exposes its underbelly and dramatically illustrates how dangerous the internet can be for the unwary.

SOCIAL ENGINEER is a short introductory novella for the Deep Web Thriller Series and features Brody Taylor, an elite computer hacker helping a pharmaceutical company defend against a cyberattack from Chinese hackers.

INVASION OF PRIVACY is the first full-length novel of the series, and pits Brody against a voyeuristic website impervious to all known hacking techniques and a vicious killer luring young women to their deaths.

Author Description:
After nearly dying at birth, Jeremy Hicks gave up his ghost during the sorrowful autumn of his twelfth year. The outsider that occupied his body at that point did the best it could to imitate him. However, this being’s bizarre sense of humor and inability to fully mimic human emotions kept it an outsider. After many unhappy years of trying to assimilate to this plane of existence and its daily doldrums, he turned to the cadre of demons in his life for other options. He teamed up with one of them inhabiting a ginger known as Barry Hayes and together they turned their nightmares into fiction.

The writing team of Hicks & Hayes created an original horror-fantasy environment (Faltyr™), wrote a screenplay (The Cycle of Ages Saga: Finders Keepers) to introduce it, and then adapted it into a novelization of the same name. As a result, their first novel was published by Dark Oak Press in August 2013; the second was published in September 2015.

Jeremy co-owns Broke Guys Productions and served as Associate Producer on the independent horror film, “Curse of the Rougarou.” He is also a poet and short story writer. Two of his short stories are available in Dark Oak anthologies (Capes & Clockwork; Luna's Children). Another is available through Pro Se Press.

An author of Contemporary Romantic Suspense, Jessica Lauryn is most intrigued by dark heroes, who have many demons to conquer...but little trouble enticing female companions into their beds! She feels that the best romances are those where the hero is already seducing the heroine from that first point of contact.

In Jessica's debut series, The Pinnacles of Power, five troubled bad boys: Ryan, Alec, Colin, Lucas and Jack must let go of the mistakes of their pasts as they battle the dangers surrounding an underground organization called Project Gemstone. Each man crosses paths with a strong, feisty heroine who has the ability to capture his heart and change the course of his life forever. Ryan's story, Dangerous Secret, kicks off the series in the picturesque town of North Conway, New Hampshire.

Jessica is a proud member of both Romance Writers of America and her local chapter, New Jersey Romance Writers. When she's not writing, she enjoys listening to as much 80's music as possible, keeping current with the story lines on Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless, shopping for the latest fashions and the prettiest of antiques, and taking long walks in nature where she can daydream about anything romantic. Though she resides in New Jersey, her heart belongs to the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire.

Author Description:
I grew up in a small rural town in Oklahoma where our favorite entertainment on summer evenings was to sit outside under the stars and tell stories. When I went to bed at night, instead of a lullaby, I got a story. That could be due to the fact that everybody in my family has a singing voice like a bullfrog with laryngitis, but they sure could tell stories--ghost stories, funny stories, happy stories, scary stories.

For as long as I can remember I've been a storyteller. Thank goodness for computers so I can write down my stories. It's hard to make listeners sit still for the length of a book! Like my family's tales, my stories are funny, scary, dramatic, romantic, paranormal, magic.

Besides writing, my interests are reading, eating chocolate and riding my Harley.

Currently I have written four Death by Chocolate mysteries: Death by Chocolate; Murder, Lies and Chocolate; The Great Chocolate Scam; and Chocolate Mousse Attack as well as three Charley's Ghost mysteries: The Ex Who Wouldn't Die, The Ex Who Glowed in the Dark, and The Ex Who Conned a Psychic. More in each series will be released as soon as I can copy them from my brain to the computer!

I have sold fifteen romance novels ranging from comedy to dark suspense under the names Sally Carleen, Sally Steward and Sara Garrett. For these novels, I won several awards including National Readers' Choice, Romantic Times Best Silhouette Romance and two Rita finalist slots. Most of the Silhouettes are available as e-books, and I have e-pubbed six of the out-of-print single titles

After two years of waiting, Rick has finally agreed to sign the divorce papers and give Lindsay her freedom. But while she’s waiting in her lawyer’s office for him to appear, his car blows up in his driveway. Lindsay is left with an image of her estranged husband’s green SUV flying around the neighborhood along with pieces of Rick—a blue contact lens in Mrs. Hawkins' driveway, a perfectly creased trouser leg hanging on the street sign, a vertebra on the immaculate lawn.

Since their divorce wasn't final and Rick has no family, Lindsay assumes she is his only heir. But before his estate is settled, poor orphan Rick has more relatives than a lottery winner.

Is the obnoxious Rickie Jr. really Rick's son? Why is the woman who claims to be Rick's mother so certain the child is not her grandson? Are these people really related to Rick, or was he actually an alien stranded on earth when the mother ship left without him?

On my way to Oahu, to join the rock musician and high school drop-out I married in Tijuana, I was nabbed by the police as a runaway. When the police let me go and the rock band broke up, my husband and I had to find another way to survive. Our next stop: Disney World where we trained to be chefs, courtesy of the Walt Disney World University. Title: First Case

Author: Kathi Daley

The fact that Katrina Pomeroy had been murdered was in and of itself a newsworthy event. The fact that she had been murdered on Friday October 13th exactly eleven years after she’d been one of five teenagers to survive the Friday The 13th Massacre, made her passing worthy of notice by the national news agencies Jillian Hanford used to work for. When an old editor of Jillian's offered her the chance to write a human interest piece about Katrina’s life and subsequent death, she jumped at the chance to re-launch her currently defunct career. Of course in order to make the sort of impact she was after, she’d not only need to write about Katrina’s unusual life, but she’d need to answer the question of who was responsible for her death. She knew she'd need help so she decided to enlist the help of the five writers currently living at the writer's retreat on Gull Island. Jillian would soon discover a decade old secret covering a shocking truth that was better left unrevealed.

Author: Dianne Harman

What could go wrong at a world class fishing lodge in the charming town of San Martin de Los Andes, Argentina, home of gauchos, leather, and chocolate?

When Ray Martin, the wealthy owner of Moving Graphics, is murdered on a corporate fly fishing trip arranged by Jack Trout, Jack's wife, Carola, knows that if she doesn't solve the murder it could be the end of Jack's successful fishing business. When it becomes apparent that the small town's chief of police won't help, because he hates Americans, it's up to them to figure out who murdered Ray. Was it Mitch Graham, who made no pretense of the fact he was ready to take over the presidency of the company? Janelle Byers, the CFO who had been accused of embezzlement at her last job? Brad Dixon, who coveted Ray's antique Winston Fly rod, Hardy reel, and the early 20th century hand-tied flies? Pablo Varela, a local fishing guide whose wife desperately needed medical care they couldn't afford? Or even Ray's wife, Lisa?

As always plenty of good food and recipes. Enjoy!
